“AUTHENTIC Rome charm”
Reviewed on February 17th, 2016

Just spent 5 nights at this fabulous hotel with my husband and two children under 12. It was wonderful! Behind the green door the hotel is on a traditional Rome stone staircase with a courtyard at the bottom. Local residents also have apartments on the stair (hence the bins but very tidy). Our room was on the 4th floor with a lot of steps but there is a small lift which we just used for our bags. I’d booked a quadruple room and we were delighted to be given a suite with a double ensuite room for the adults and our children sharing a large room with two double sofa beds. All the mattresses were comfortable, the room was clean and well serviced, and there was even a small balcony overlooking the courtyard. The bathroom had an excellent shower and a separate room with double basins which was practical for 4 sharing. The staff were all very friendly, polite and helpful especially the hard working lady who prepared the ample breakfast every morning. The location was perfect, a short stroll to eat out in the evenings at a wide choice of restaurants and easy to walk to all the sites. This is an exceptional hotel and if you want to feel like you are in Rome rather than in a chain hotel that could be anywhere then it is just for you. Thanks to all at the Pantheon Inn. “CENTRAL hotel”

Very central for sightseeing with most sites within walking distance. Really unusual hotel set over several floors within a mixed use building but it works. Family room had double and 2 single beds, the room was clean with enough room for 4. (Source: Tripadvisor.com)

What a super place. In an ideal location, so if you are lost in Rome, you just make your way back to the Pantheon, which is signposted, then you can find the hotel. Really friendly men on reception who spoke excellent English. They were more than happy to recommend places to eat, visit, book taxis etc. Our room was really clean and quiet. Nice breakfast. Would highly recommend this place as a good bolt hole for Rome […] (Source: Tripadvisor.com)

“CHARMING hotel with a great staff and location”

We enjoyed our stay at this charming hotel that was originally built in 1681 as a home, the hotel has been updated with all modern appliances, but has maintained its charm. The staff were very friendly and most helpful anytime you asked questions or had any issues. The location was great, near plenty cafes, restaurants and shops. The bus stop was just a couple of blocks so it was easy to navigate around Rome. I would stay again at this hotel if I return to Rome. (Source: Tripadvisor.com)

The location of the hotel was amazing. All touristic locations are within 15 to 30 minutes walking distance. The location is surrounded by so many restaurants and within 10 minutes walking distance you can find the city sightseeing bus stop to get your tickets. The staff the hotel are very kind and very helpful; they would do anything to help you out. (Source: Booking.com)

“LIFE savers!”
Reviewed on Aprile 8th, 2015

We stayed here for one night whilst visiting Rome from our holiday base in Sorrento. Location is perfect, staff were friendly and helpful and room was nice.

This is not the reason for the 5 star review though.

We left a bag at the hotel and returned in the afternoon to collect it and head to the train station and return to Sorrento. We were rushing to catch the train so didn’t pay much attention to the receptionists queries about which room we’d been staying in and started to worry when our bag was not in the cupboard where we’d left it. When we confirmed our room the receptionist pulled our bag out from behind the reception desk along with a number of items we’d left in our room, namely our 4 passports, an i pad and the keys to our apartment in Sorrento.

We are very grateful to the hotel staff for making sure these items were returned to us. The remainder of our holiday would have been ruined if they hadn’t taken the steps they did to ensure our stuff was returned to us. It was impossible to convey our gratitude there and then so hopefully this will get back to the relevant staff. (Source: Tripadvisor)

Excellent location to Spanish steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and more, easy to walk, with many excellent places to dine and find gelato. Room was clean, comfortable and well decorated. The breakfast included many different types of pastries , meats, cheeses, yogurt, cereal and different types of bread. The front desk staff was very knowledgeable, helpful, and a real asset in making the trip enjoyable. Would stay again. (Source: Tripadvisor)

We stayed for 4 nights with 3 children and the room was a good size, probably the biggest we have stayed in. The reception staff were so friendly and helpful with taxis, and other recommendations. Excellent continental breakfast with lots of buffet choices. The best thing about the hotel is the location, you step out with an immediate view of the pantheon. Very central to all sights. We would stay again. (Source: Tripadvisor)

“Nothing bad to SAY!”

This small hotel is very friendly, and the front desk people are extremely helpful. The room was very clean and decorated nicely and roomier than most European hotels (we had a triple room and it was twice the size of the one in Paris). With the very central location this is a great place to stay in Rome, it’s kind of equidistant from everything! They have the standard kind of breakfast you get in most places, no eggs, but plenty of yogurt, toast, juice, fruits and sliced meats. I also like that the hotel’s location is easy to remember because it’s close to the little square called Piazza Minerva that has the cute elephant statue in the middle and a beautiful church, Santa Maria Sopra Minerva, so you can tell your taxi driver “near piazza Minerva” and they’ll know where to go. Plus there are always taxi drivers in the square too (but everything is walking distance so you’ll rarely need one). (Source: Tripadvisor)

The hotel is in the heart of Rome perfect for walking. Because of the central location the hotel is 10 minutes walking from anywhere you want to go – Vatican, Colliseum, Via del Corso. “GREAT Location, Comfortable Rooms, Fascinating History”
Reviewed on June 17th, 2014

My family and I stayed here after returning from a Mediterranean cruise. It took a while for our driver to locate it as you enter through a door at the street level and the sign is not large and flashy (which is really a good thing, actually). We arrived around 10:30 a.m., well before check-in, yet knowing we would be early, they had our room prepared. We were given a spacious room with high ceilings, a king bed and a queen pull-out couch, perfect for our family of 4. The room had wi-fi, a mini bar, bathroom amenities, air-conditioning (which was needed!) and a nice view of the courtyard below. […]

Breakfast was amazing. A dedicated server staffed the breakfast area, helping us to make our coffee, refilling dishes, etc. Breakfast consisted of juices, yogurt, fruit, pastries, deli items, etc. The breakfast definitely exceeded our expectations.

This hotel is just steps from the Pantheon. We were also able to walk to the Trevi Fountain (around a mile away) and the Hard Rock Cafe (around 1.5 miles away). […]

I would definitely stay here again. It is a gem with a convenient location to the aforementioned attractions as well as the government center of Rome. The staff are friendly and helpful and we had a pleasant and memorable stay. (Source: Tripadvisor)

“CHARMING surprise for our whole family”
Reviewed on June 1st, 2014

I have been meaning to write a review since our stay last September for 6 nights. We booked three rooms for our extended family trip. One for an elderly person, one for a family of four and one for three people. […] This hotel is a little gem. The breakfast each day is a bonus with coffee, tea, fresh pastries and cereals, buffet style in a small breakfast room. It feels like you are in someone’s dining room. Very pleasant. Hotel rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Good beds. The bathrooms are generous for Europe with plentiful hot water, we never ran out, even in our room with four people (my husband and I and two kids). Staff are very helpful and the location is superb. […] We could easily come back to the hotel to rest before heading out again in the evenings. The restaurants nearby are excellent and easy walking distance to many sights. Having the Pantheon just metres away is wonderful. You are in amongst the hustle and bustle without too much noise. We will definitely be back. (Source: Tripadvisor)

“GREAT experience”

My husband and I spent 4 nights at this hotel. It was a great experience. All the staff in all departments were cheerful and helpful. The receptionists even found BBC world news for us to watch at night! I would highly recommend this hotel. We could not fault it in any way.

It is centrally located. The room we had , whilst facing the front was not noisy. It was on the 3rd floor of hotel. It also had good blanking out of light so even being bright outside the room was dark. Being vegetarians the breakfast was really adequate for us with plenty of fruit, yoghurt, and cereals. It also has a good variety of herbal teas along with coffee […]

There was always a lovely “buongiorno” or ” ciao” from the receptionists who also greatly helped us find the easiest and cheapest way to our places of interest. (Source: Tripadvisor)

Great location, just round from the Pantheon. Up on the second floor of an old building, the welcome from Veeru was very warm. He speaks excellent English. The room with a balcony was very pleasant. He contacted us ahead of time to arrange a car from the airport, at almost the same cost as a taxi, but without the hassle. The continental breakfast was basic, but overall a really good find. Would definitely go back. (Source: Tripadvisor)

We couldn’t have been happier with our choice of hotel, a very warm welcome from the staff which lasted throughout our stay. The room was very clean and comfortable and had everything you need as most of the time we were out exploring this beautiful city.

Location is superb and we walked to all the major tourist areas with ease, plenty of restaurants nearby with quality food and wine at reasonable prices (especially if you don’t eat in the squares but just go five mins down the side streets).

Overall our stay in Rome was to lovely and we can’t wait to come back and yes we would stay at the Pantheon Inn again. (Source: Tripadvisor)

“I COMPLETELY enjoyed my stays at Pantheon Inn”
Reviewed on October 25th, 2013

I completely enjoyed my stays at Pantheon Inn. I stayed twice, once at the beginning of my trip, and then at the end. The location is excellent – in the center of everything, just a few steps from the Pantheon, but quiet as well. The rooms were clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, and the staff was the best. Everyone at the desk was friendly, and helpful, but so were the other staff including the breakfast women, and cleaning staff. I give Pantheon Inn 5 stars. A generic hotel chain or large hotel couldn’t provide the same experience. I’d definitely stay there again. (Source: Pantheon Inn Website)

“VERY impressed by the staff”

I was very impressed with the staff. They went out if their way to make our visit comfortable. In particular, they emailed me in advance of my arrival to see if we needed transportation from the airport to the hotel. The rate was reasonable, and it was very helpful after a nine hour flight and being jet-lagged to have airport transportation figured out. (Source: Pantheon Inn Website)

This has been the hotel I choose when visiting Rome time after time. Not only is the location awesome…being in the heart of Rome and right around the corner from the Pantheon, but the customer service and clean rooms is an added bonus. Veeru runs things from the front desk and has been there for years. He’s friendly, warm, helpful and extremely responsive. I’ve sent him emails with questions and requests to make restaurant reservations for me and he answers every time and right away.

I love this B&B and recommend you check it out.

Cheers to you Veeru and Roberto! (Source: Tripadvisor)
